I normally start out on a particular work and have it finished days later, or somewhere along the process I might set it aside for weeks or months at a time till I get new inspiration and it ends up something completely different then when I started. I look through my photo bank from time to time and parts of one photo and another and then another will start to inspire a mental landscape that I will feel compelled to create into something I can hold onto and share with others. These photos are just raw material I will use later in my creative process. I collect allot of pictures of the sky, seashore, waves, and anything that peaks my interest. I mix my family life with my passion for creating art by taking family outings to the beach. With a full time job in the Air Force, a wife, and 4 boys, I don’t have a lot of time to create. In the end I want something vibrant and inspiring and my ultimate aim is to bring joy to the viewer through my work. These skills are just tools I use to put my heart into creating my art. Along with that I use a digital brush to mix colors and light. I use techniques such as exposure blending to even out the difference between the bright sky and the landscape and digital matte painting to mix entirely different scenes together. ![]()
